Default i did a stupid today

i woke up this morning and needed to get my work clothes in the washer so they would be clean for my shift at 1pm. so i got my shirt and pants and start to go down teh steps and managed to lose my footing and instead of walking down teh stairs, i fell on my tush and went sliding half way down teh stairs. i only went half way because i was holding onto the hand rail. when i came to a stop, i tried to call for dh, but he couldn't hear me so i called for one of the kids to go get their father. my daughter ran into our room and jumped on her dad and started goofing around with him. she thought i sent her in to pick on him. so then i tell her to tell him i slide down teh stairs, she goes and tells him to come down stairs. no mommy fell down the stairs. when she told him that i heard thump thump thump from him running over to the stairs. i haven't heard him move that fast in a long time. he helped me up and got me downstairs and took care of me. i didn't break anything, but i'm gonna have some really good bruises. the back side of my right thigh is still sore and i whacked my elbow pretty good.

lessons learned today: make sure you are fully awake before going down stairs, always hold onto hand rails, and never send a 7 year old to go get her father out of bed.

yes i did take teh day off. i called work as soon as i knew someone would be there so they got a 4 hour warning. it rained here, but it was nice listening to teh rain when i took a nap.
i was looked after pretty well today except for the couple of hours when dh had to run some errands. he left the kids with me and told them to come check on me from time to time in case i needed something. well the 2 of them were playing upstairs and forgot all about me. i tired calling for them a couple of times, but didn't get any answers so i took a nap.
i'm off tomoorw so i'll get to rest some more.
