Default Every day is an opportunity to learn somethng...

And DH learned something yesterday. He was digging around in the yard to set a jungle gym. the legs need to be set in concrete to keep it from scooting and to heel it safe for the kids to play on. So he was pick axe-ing around to dig the holes.

    And here's what he learned:

When you put a pick axe up against a burried phone line, the pick axe will win.

Phone lines work better when uninterrupted with breaks.

Internet connection is directly related to phone connection (ours is)

Phone company repair men aren't available on Sundays (ours aren't)

Your wife will find as many ways to tease you about this educational moment as she can possbly find!!

Anyway so long story short, DH cut our phone line apart when digging around. The repairman came out this morning and left another gem of education for me to tell dh. "Call BEFORE you dig"

Lol, I'm glad he wasn't hurt at least when he hit that line. I'll bet he calls ahead next time!

Uh oh! I know he learned a valuable lesson.

at least it was just the phone line and not something bigger like a water line or sewage ick. and thankfully not something dangerous like electricity or gas.
