Smile What I did on my summer vacation

Well, were a back from Kentucky. We left a week ago Friday to go to General Butler State Park for a family reunion. It was nice, and while we were there the county fair was going on. It benefitted the Lions Club, so we took the girls. They had a blast, although mom no longer can ride the rides she used to without feeling like throwing up.

After the reunion we headed to my Mom's in Louisville. Monday we took the girls to see Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I had never seen a 3D movie, so it was cool. Tuesday we went to Chuck E. Cheese and had a blast. Wednesday day we went to Churchill Downs. The girls loved to be able to stand at the paddock area and watch the horses being saddled. My Mom and sister went too.

Thursday DH took the girls and my Mom fishing, while my sister and I went for our annual lunch and shopping trip. We found a local clothing store's 50% off shop and got some good deals.

Friday was a bumming day. Saturday we went to a birthday party and then to the picnic at one of the local Catholic churches. We ran into some people we hadn't seen in awhile.

While we were gone, I read 4 books - The Yada Yada Prayer Group, Sisterchicks do the Hula, Gardenias for Breakfast & True Believer. I finished DH's anniversary afghan, two pairs of flip flops for the girls. 2 prayer shawls (minus fringe) a kitty kat cell phone cozy for my sister, and a rose handbag for myself. I was prettty proud of all I got to do for me.

And that is what I did on my summer vacation! LOL!
