Default ??Make your own Groceries book

    Does anyone have this book?

I have been wanting to get it but it is sorta pricy on Ebay?

I just wondered if it is worth the cost????

One review I read said most of the stuff can be found on the net.

When comparing it to the prices at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Half.com for the 1979 book that Ebay price looks pretty darned good. On the other websites, the 1979 book is going for anywhere from $50-80

I agree that price looks very good. Sometimes even if you can get the information from the internet it's nice to have a hard copy of it also.

I owned that book until a few years ago when I sold it on half.com for $9.99. I don't think it's worth paying $50 plus for. That's just my two cents.

I have that and her follow-up. (More Make you own groceries.) I got both of them for a total of less than $30, including shipping, but I shopped around a lot before I bought them.

Are they worth the money? It all depends. You can find a lot of the info on the 'net, but in this case for me, I prefer it in book form in my hands.

Bridge, I would suggest seeing if your library system has it. Mine does, but there was a long waiting list, and then I just bought it last year in a spending spree. Then you can decide for sure if you want to spend money on it.

Or look here (this is a link to ABE search)- this is where I find all my hard-to-get books, and they are usually much cheaper than I can find them anywhere else. http://dogbert.abebooks.com/servlet/...groceries&x=18

If you have any specific questions about the book(s), please ask- if you are looking for a specific recipe just o see what the book might have in it or something.
