    Default How many sweaters do you own? What's a reasonable number?

    I like sweaters. All winter long, I wear turtlenecks with pullovers. At home, I wear chenille pullovers. I have some dressier sweaters for church and such. And I have some well-loved cardigans!

    So, I currently have:

    * 4 chenille sweaters for around-the-house
    * 2 well-worn cardigans for going for walks on chilly days
    * 2 dressy pullovers

    I have recently acquired:

    * 1 hand-knit cardigan from a friend
    * 2 chenille sweaters for around-the-house
    * 2 more dressy pullovers.

    My problem: I want to keep them all!

    Hmmm I'm not really sure, but I think I have about 5 or 6.

    I don't think I own many. I have 2 short sleeved sweaters. 1 or 2 long sleeve sweaters, 2 turtlenecks (not sweaters, but knit material), and 2 sweatshirts.

    I live in VT and own a lot of sweaters. Each Summer season I go through and donate the ones I will not use again the following Winter season. Currently I own:

    5-100% wool sweaters
    2- Fleece sweaters
    5-Cotton or polyester Sweaters/sweatshirts/hoodies that I also wear thoughout the other seasons when it's chilly.
    3 Fleece pullovers
    A few dressy sweaters

    I don't keep anything around that I don't wear on a regular basis.

    I am not sure but quite a few. I have been giving some of them away to the salvation army. I have one sweater that I have had for years and years I just love the colors in it and it wears and washes like iron. I have no idea who the maker is and my mother bought it for me for Christmas 12 or more years ago. I wish I knew, I would more than likely go out and buy a dozen of them.

    Michelle,

    What is the advantage of 100% wool sweaters? Aren't they itchy? Our thrift store has been having 75-cents for any sweater, so now's a great time for me to get wool sweaters if I have reason to.

    I don't think it sounds like you have too many sweaters at all, especially if you have a fair amount of cold weather where you live.

    I have 8 sweaters of various styles and colors. No wool, because I have sensitive skin, and they are way too itchy for me.
