    Default it's SO HOT!!!!

    Just rambling a bit

We've had heat advisorys for days now. it is so hot outside. Not much cooler inside it seems. The a/c is running (non stop I should add-hate to see the power bill) but still feels hot in here. My a/c is set on 73 and it's 80 right now in here. I know it could be worse but gosh,I am so tired of being hot. Makes me irritable lol (sp). The kids cant go outside,so they're right under foot...or fighting
Friday we cut the grass....I thought I would die!! I cut (riding mower) and Steve did the weed eater. We were both soaked from sweat.I came in and took a COLD shower, nothing on but cold water and it was warm. The worst thing is...it already needs to be cut again!!!
Saturday we got in the pool,to hopefully cool off a little.....it did help some but the sun was beating right down on us.We stayed in maybe an hour and got out....the pool water was 92!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Can't wait for winter!!!!

Its pretty hot here too. Its 91 right now and its 10PM!

I've been taking showers in cold water. Cold showers help a great deal. Also doing dishes in cold water. My landlord pays the water bill, so I frequently have showers.

I feel for the both of you. What ever is going on everywhere in the U.S. Its down right misable Its been so hot here and then we have the humitity. It is terrible. But I can thank God that I don't live in Navada or Arizona. Arazona has had 23 death related to the heat Since June 23. My son is stuck in Chicago at the airport because of thunder storms. He's hooping to get home tomorrow for his birthday. He's coming home from Bahrain.

It's the same here Tammy. We got in our pool on Sunday and it was 94 (the pool water). The only way it was refreshing was when the wind blew if we were up out of the water. Ugh. We're having a cool snap with the chance of some much needed rain tonite though. Keeping our fingers crossed.

mtjsmom --- I'm with you! The heat is bad, but I'd rather be hot than freezing cold. I hate the cold more than anything.

Its been close to 100 here for days and days but today, HOORAH, we are supposed to have a cold front move through with rain and lows in the 60s the rest of the week --- hi tomorrow 82. I'll believe it when it happens, but it is wonderful to dream of! Any relief is welcome.

Our upstairs/bedrooms is not air conditioned --- so the sleeping the last several days has been sad. I'm really hoping the lows in the 60s gets here!

Fernykins --- congrats on your son's homecoming!

It has been terribly hot here too..but thankfully it is SO much cooler today. I have the windows open and the fans on, as it is only 57 degrees, wahooooo! We had a storm and a cool front come through last night and todays high is only supposed to be 71 degrees. We'll be back to raging heat in a few days though.

Ugh. I feel your pain! It's 100 degrees right now. DH is on his way home and he is taking the girls to the pool. I am staying right here in the A/C and under the ceiling fan!

It was 94 here today but now we are having a thunderstorm. It is certainly hot for Pittsburgh but I will take it over the cold and snow anytime. I just hate winter.. Of course if I did not have central air I probably would not feel that way! LOL

One thing to add to make this even worse....I left today to go into town....came home and the a/c wasn't working!!!!!!!! Talk about being upset. I called the repair man and the lady said she would let him know...that was at 5pm....I call back at 8:30 and asked do I have to stay up allnight waiting. She's says .."weell,no...they dont take calls after 8pm anyways" BUT I CALLED AT FREAKIN 5pm! Needless to say I gave her a tiny piece of my mind and hung up. I have fans going and we do have 2 central air units, but this side of the house is still hot.....cant imagine trying to go to sleep tonight.....

We are getting a "cold snap" to.....I think the weather man said so besides it being 100 tomorrow like it was today,it'll be closer to 95.....what the heck......thats no cold front!!! I think he's done one to many weather reports lol

It's been hot & sticky here too. Thankfully we've been spending a lot of time at my fil's house, and he has a pool. It's cooler where he lives too, so that helps.

It's supposed to be 96 here today until this afternoon when we are going to get storms, and the temp will drop to 77. Thankfully.

Steve got home at 1:30 am from work and by 3am he had the a/c fixed. The drainage pipe was clogged and filled the pan up and shut the unit off. I'm glad it shut off besides spilling over into the ceiling again, but it sure was hot.
Steve still wanted someone to come check it out,to be sure, and it cost $113 I could have sworn I had one more visit on my yearly agreement, but the guy said I didnt, but would check and let me know All the trouble I've had with this company,he will not be calling back....I can just about bet the bank on it.....

I just thought of something.....I paid him $113 right?! Remember last month when the guy stepped thru my ceiling and never came back to repair it............hmmmmm..... they owe ME $113!!!
I'll be calling them back AGAIN tomorrow!

As much of a pain in the "you know what" it will be to keep after those people, I would definitely keep calling them until they fix your ceiling --- or at least pay you for it! Good grief.
