ramen rant
I know this is silly, but oh well. lol
I shop at Meijer and they have removed Maruchan ramen soup and replaced it with Top Ramen.
I love ramen soup, but Top ramen just tastes bad.
The creamy chicken is just pitiful.
I need a new ramen supplier.
I'll go into twitches without my Maruchan creamy chicken. lol

LOL! I never noticed the difference! Of course DH buys ours at Aldis and I never know what brand I'll get.

I hate ramen. REALLY hate it.
Ramen is what we used to eat the entire last week of the month for lunch, when I was a kid. Sometimes for dinner too. My mom says because it's cheap, and we were broke. I ate so much ramen when I was a kid that I can't bring myself to eat it now.
I didn't find out until much later in life, that my dad made around $29/hr when I was a kid...but he was an alcoholic, and the attorney fees and court fees from dozens of drunk-driving convictions ate my parents' budget alive
Thank GOD neither DH or I have ever had the inclination to drink.

I've seen Ramon noodles at Sam's Club and Walmart.

What are they thinking?!!!! Oh my, you must talk to management.
My kids agree the creamy chicken is the best in that brand out of them all. We can only get that flavor in individual packs. Maybe I can be your new supplier...for a price, he he~*Darlene*~

I didn't even know that there were different types of Ramen noodles. I get this instant noodles from a Korean mart near my place which comes with two little packets of dried veggies and spices. Its very tasty and filling for $1, and sometimes when I feel like eating a cheap meal, this satisfies it. I should look for Maruchan ramen soup.

I never knew one brand tasted different than another. Of course, we've never had the creamy chicken here, and I only occasionally make it for the girls as just the noodles (with only a tiny bit of the seasoning plus butter). I've never tried the creamy chicken.

My kids love Ramen, but I've never noticed the difference in the brands. As a result, when I went to the store yesterday, I bought a few of each brand (Manchurian - creamy chicken, I have NEVER noticed that one before, and Top Ramen). I'll ask the kids if they prefer one over the other.
It makes no difference to me. I do like the various flavors (lime shrimp) that Manchurian has. But they are both 14c a pkg (when not on sale) so whichever flavor they like best of each brand is what I will get.
My husband, having lived in Korea for nearly 4 yrs, prefers the slightly more expensive (and spicy) Korean 'ramen'.Total Debt Paid Off $92,234

We buy the Maruchan kind, too. Top ramen isn't as good. I've never had the creamy chicken, though.....never even heard of it.

The toddler *LOVES* "oodles"!!! She'd eat them brkfst, lunch & supper if I'd let her.
We get a 12-pk for 1.44 at walmart.
