    Default Accentuate the positive

Seemed to help eliminate some of the negative last week, at least for me to post about what was going GOOD in my day to day. Seeing it in black and white sure helped me to focus on the good rather than to worry about the bad stuff going on. So in honor of that, here's what good has happened today, please, add yours all week too!

    Today:
Was given a voucher to help pay for my glasses (soon I will be able to see! )
DS1 has fallen into a routine of making his bed without being told to.
DD is talking more and more and also more clearly as well

    I love this exercise!

    Today:
    The weather is lovely.
Ran into a friend during lunch.
Discovered that co-worker's radio music can be drowned out by my table fan.

I love this thread too. Heh Missy, maybe you could make it a regular weekly thread, what do you think??

~had a wonderful weekend spent with the family and the computer shut off. Plan to make it a regular time away from the computer.
~got some awesome deals yesterday and freebies too.
~kids are enjoying being read to. Can you imagine at 15 and 17 and they want another chapter as soon as I'm finished reading the one I'm reading. I love it.
~got great news from a friend today.

    OK positive...

~I've never seen so many birds & bees in our yard before. Spent a nice time yesterday just siting and watching the bees & hummingbird moths flit from flower to flower of my bee balm.
~finally getting our garage roof painted, you are unable to stand on it as it's so steep. Jack found a fiberglass (so it doesn't bend) telescoping pole at Home Depot and bought a roller that attaches to it. Worked great.

OK, it's Tuesday, time for todays positives:

I have a cold (no that's not my positive) and i have been cooping myself up trying to treat the cold (nope that's not it either) but today I went to hang clothes on the line outside, and I can't begin to tell you how wonderful the sun felt on my neck and shoulders. It might sound weird, but it was almost like a backrub sent long distance from my mom. Just like she used to do when I was a kid with a cold. Ok, maybe I am weird, next positive thing then.

The kids (mostly DS1) and I got bored and wrote ourselves a little short story about our family. It was fun and a good imagination exersize for DS1

not too much of a struggle today to get the kids to do their chores

ds 2 woke me up really early, and because of that I got to see the sunrise.

    Today's positives:
Was up till 1:30AM working on homework assignments and going mad, DH wordlessly did dishes and cleaned kitchen.

This morning, woke and continued to work on homework, and DH made me my morning coffee and cooked us both lunch (very, very tasty lunch!)
