What sound makes your heart smile?
I love listening to children laughing, they are so good at it. Don't hold back they just let it out.

Definitely my kids. I love to hear them laugh...really laugh at something.
I also love hearing them talk to each other when they don't think anyone is listening

I don't have kids otherwise I'd probably say my kids. But the sound that makes my heart smile are Fog Horns. I love being near the ocean or bay and love to hear fog horns. I'm probably strange but I also like the fog

One of the reasons you're a water lover.
To me water has such a soothing effect and many "faces". I live on a creek aka small river, lol and it's always changing and love watching it do so. When a storm comes along it's amazing what it does.

Well my girls laughing is one, but I love to hear them singing - especially when they make up little songs and don't care that anyone is listening! And, I adore hearing my girls pray.

apart from kids (my own kids voices and my dh are like music to me)
I love jazz, got it going right now in fact. Michael Buble singing some lovely old jazz numbers. Diana Krall, Mahalia Jackson, Gershwin. I also like classical-- Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, Schumann, Schubert, Berlioz and some opera (NOT WAGNER!!!-- more the light Italian stuff like Verdi or the ones by Mozart and Berlioz).
(I sometimes think music loving families could rename Cheerios, Barely O's for their kids for fun)
The wind in my trees, sighing around the twigs and needles in the winter.
A really good thunder and lightening storm.
Trains -- the old fashioned warning whistles.
Waves crashing on shore.
Birds singing in my trees.
Rain on the roof of the deck.

Watching my dog playing
Watching the birds swoop down for seed when I've just put it out for them, they all fly into the trees when I approach but come back very quickly when I move away and tuck in!
Sitting relaxing on the patio with dh at our caravan (Trailer) when there's hardly anyone around, the peace is just wonderful. In the daytime you can hear the birds and at night the ocean, heaven.
Listening to music. I love all kinds, whatever takes my mood and like Margery I love classical too.

All of my children, laughing together (instead of at each other in meanness). Their giggles just light me up inside.
