I was out doing my errands
this morning and I'm sitting in my parked car in the parking lot of CVS, talking to my sister on my cell phone. I see a car start to back up and it appeared that she was coming awfully close to my car, so I beep my horn, I beep again and again and again and then wham, she backed into me. Then, she starts to drive off, so I jump out of my car, and start yelling and almost chasing her down in the parking lot. She finally stops and I say, you just backed into me, she stares at me and says oh, dear, I did? I'm like, um, yeah, you didn't feel it?
Granted, there isn't much damage, just a few scrapes where the black paint used to be, but still..... I just bought the car in September and I'll admit, I'm a perfectionist, I don't have any dents, dings, scrapes on it and I'm not exactly thrilled about the scrapes. I did get her insurance info.
Uggg, not the way I wanted to start my weekend! Oh well, it could've been worse. Just had to vent!

Sounds like she was unaware of space, time & dimension.
If she hit a person, I wonder if she'd notice that?

I totallyget what you are saying about the dents/dings/scratches. I don't really feel that way too much anymore, but I used to. I'm sure you worked hard to buy that car, and if anyone is going to put scratches in it, it hard darn well better be you.
(FWIW, I stopped feeling that way years ago when my BIL backed into my car when it was less than a year old. I realized some things- namely family- are more important than my car, and haven't looked back. They offered to pay to get it fixed, but it was more of a small bend than a dent, and it wasn't worth either insurance going up. It WAS very funny when my 18 month old neice came tddling up the stairs going, "Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh. Uh oh." That is what I woke up to tha AM.)

Ooh, sorry Gina! That's pretty scary if someone that hit you couldn't feel it!
I would be really bummed about the scratches too.
