We've had a repreive from the heat
and even about 1/2 inch of rain in the last 24 hrs. It had been 55 days straight without rain. We needed it in the worst way. Feels like autumn here today. We're having a lazy, movie watching day. What's everyone else doing today?

We are also having a nice cool day today. It is quite a relief since we have been outside camping the last 2 days. It was unbearably hot and I am terribly sunburned. I am spending the day inside with the windows open recovering from the sunburn and watching movies. Its a good day to relax.

Do the cabana boys still show up for work when the feel of Autumn is in the air?

It was sunny, yet cloudy, all day -- does that make sense?
-- and DH (who is feeling a lot better) and I packed up the car and we went to the next town to see an antique car show. It was a bit expensive -- $3 per person to go in, and then we were hungry, so we split a fries and two pop ($4.50) and then after it was over, we had a late lunch out ($25ish). We also had to fill the car up with gas, but it needed it anyway. So while it was fun, I wish we hadn't eaten out. :S
Bright Blessings!

We had a reprieve too - but not free. We've been having thunder and lightning storms all day, lost the power in the house twice while I was out. While I was out they lost power at the gas station (right before I was getting ready to pay) and while I was shopping at Filenes (and only half the cash registers came back up). And hail. I haven't seen hail around here since I was a little kid.
There were a ton of lightning strikes and I saw/heard a bunch of fire trucks and police cars. Hope everyone aroud here is ok and that losing power is the worst thing that happens.
On the bright side, I didn't have to water my plants, and the temp went from 95 to 75.Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06)
