No Job & Other Stuff
Last week the office manager told me I was hired and the Secretary who I would be assiting also agreed that I was the one they wanted to hire. Today, having heard nothing from them since last Wednesday, I called and left a message. Got a call back. "The attorney has made a decision." Nothing about me not getting the job, nothing about him picking anyone else, just he has made a decision. Dh is elated. He didn't want me working till 5:00 since he gets off work at 2:30 summer and 3:30 winter. He doens't care that I didn't get the job and I guess I don't either. His boss was upset that I got the offer cause they were thinking of hiring me to do some part-time office work towards the end of the month. So, all is well and I'm not upset. Just a little p'od that they said I had the job last week.
Next. My ds has moved to Utah up by Salt Lake City. He loves it there except he hadn't found a job after almost 3 weeks. Today he got the call, he will be cooking for KFC/A&W. It's a combined store in the mall nearby. I sent him some money today and he bought a $70.00 bicycle to get to work. An apartment will open up around Oct. 1 and he's hopeing to save enough to get in to it. He's very happy there. I miss him but want him to be happy so I have to let go.
Everything else is going good. Still selling stuff on ebay like a mad woman and making some good money.
Just wanted to fill you all in. I will still get to go to my crochet class on Tuesdays and I will still get to work at the Food Bank on Fridays so I'm pleased.

Sometimes its a good thing to not get the job but I agree. esp with such irresponsible people! I would have been irritated too.
Hopefully some pt work with your dh's job will be just what you're looking for and still give you plenty of time to take care of things.
Your ds sounds like he's doing well. I know its hard to let them out of your sight for even a minute but I guess its just one of those things that must happen.
