Forgot to add why~it's because they are animals. When cought I'd like to see them put on a deserted island (surrounded by shark infested water) together without provisions and let them feed on on another till they are all gone.

I hope they realize that God is watching them. We may never know who was looting for things like TV's and jewelry (I can't get too mad about basic food/water supplies), or shooting at rescuers,but I hope it weighs HEAVY on their conscious for a long time to come!

Surely, only severe drug addictions would make people behave in such horrible ways. The area is in a state of chaos. I feel so sorry for the elderly and the poor little babies and children. And their poor mommas trying to keep them fed and clean and safe.

I think that people are so desperate, that they are out of their minds with anger/hurt/frustration etc and also drug seekers are not able to get their drug of choice.

I just keep praying for everyone-it is so sad.

People are dying becasue they cannot get out. Think of the diabetics, heart patients etc. And now other's are shooting at the rescuers??

I know that people are hungry, tired and sad but that is no reason to be so mean and terrible!

I wish it were that this behavior could be attributed only to hunger, fatigue or drugs. BUt sadly, there are people out there who believe the world owes them something and that this is their opportunity to get something for free at someone else's expense. I mean, insurance pays for it - right?

It is such a very sad situation. I just keep praying for the victims. I can not even fathom what they must be going through, it just baffles my mind .

The director of the largest ambulance service in the area was on CNN yesterday and was saying he was pulling his people out at dark last night because it had just gotten too dangerous for them to stay. They had been shot at and they had an ambulance turned over. He said he could not put his employees in harms way any longer.

I heard them talking this morning on CNN and they were saying that they have National Guard troops ready to send into the affected areas but that there is so much confusion on the ground that there is no one to tell them where to send the troops. The governing bodies of the towns and parishes are in a state of chaos and no one is telling them what they need to do or where they need to go. I hope they get it all straightened out and get the people there some law enforcement and security help.
