    Default Anyone else like to...

Draw out their dream houses? I do. i have several different ones from over the years. I keep em, because even daydreaming i am a visual person, and if i want to just get away to my happy place, it is an easy start to it to let myself stare off into one of these drawings.

I like to draw out my dream houses, pretty detailed too, where doors will be, outlets, furniture, storage, appliances and so on. Anyone else? Or am I alone on this one??

The house we live in,was Steve's moms. She passed away in 1997 and Steve didnt want to sell this house...so,wesold our house and moved in. At the time we only had Ashley, but the house was still small. We knew moving in,we'd be adding an addition.Well, when we were in the planning stages...I would draw pics allday long lol
We added on about 1,000 sq feet (thats almost the size of the original house) So we have a living room, master bed and bath, and a laundry room. I would design all kinds of things.Should the living room be here, the bedroom here, I bet I made 100 drawings and changed my mind 100 times
Good thing we were doing all the work ourselves...a builder would've got p oed at me and quit lol
Steve got quiet aggervated at one point and said, when I put this wall up IT IS NOT COMING BACK DOWN lol

Sometimes I'll still sit and draw my dream house...you know...where money was no object.

So,to answer your question...you're not alone

Yup, I do. I draw "blueprints' for it, or draw what the grounds will look like, or design cool little closets in it.

It's fun adn it is totally the "happy place"

....no I know that there are more of me out there..... mwa ha ha

    lol babs....

I to have drawn out what I want my yard to look like. And it's ALWAYS neatly mowed and weed free

About a month ago I wanted to redo our closet and make it more organized. I had several little drawings and dh said "You know how much this closet will cost.." ....but it was so neat and pretty lol

And of course my dream house is the most peaceful place. No kids fighting, everyone playing nicely and getting along....Always CLEAN to lol

I draw my yard weed free too. It compliments the perfectly manicured lawn better that way.

I somehow can't bring myself to draw in the clutter, dust and dirty dishes. I suppose I should, you know, just for realism... but who ever heard of dirty dishes in a wrap-around gourmet kitchen? See? hard to fathom.

I don't actually draw my dream house (can't draw worth anything!) but I cut out every picture I like and adapt house plans from magazines. I've got folders full of ideas and one photo album/scrapbook of my "Dream House". It's one of my favorite things to do!
