Frugal auction donations (patting myself on the back)
Our church has this huge yard sale every year to raise money to fight hunger. 100% of the proceeds go to hunger relief. There is also an auction. Each sunday school class was asked to make a basket to donate to the auction. Our class did 2 - one and Italian Dinner Basket & one a Bath Basket.
Well, funds are tight, so I crocheted a rose bath scrubbie and donated a bottle of bubble bath and a candle from my stash for the bath basket. For the Italian basket, I used my rubber stampst to make some place cards and donated the spaghetti server spoon and cheese grate that came with my pasta pots (they had not been used).
I was so proud of myseld for not spending any money!

Yea!! I am glad you were able to come up with another alternative instead of spending money. Your creativity paid off!
