Default My Week (and BF jumping on board)

So I get an extra check this month, and while I was going to pay off my CC, I decided that we need some other things around the house done also. (aka the money is burning a hole in my pocket lol)

Both my dogs are due for their annual/vaccines. I called around and found a vet both closer and cheaper. Saving $50 by going to this one.

The CRV needs new brakes. BF knows this, yet has let it sit there for 2 months now. I called around, got a estimate for new back brakes. $250. Ok sure. They called this morning and was all "oh it went up to $375, is it still ok?" No it's not. BF called around, and for $125, he can do it himself. YAY!!! So glad he is stating to recongize that you can save ALOT doing things yourself.

I got a call saying I can get a hog for around $240. Great deal in my book. But that's 150 lbs of meat. So I'm waiting on a call from BIL hoping he will split both the price and the pig with me. If we do this, it will save us so much on groceries over the year.

So the money is still burning a hole in my pocket, but at least I feel I took care of some things, and the best thing is that not.one.penny. went on my CC. And I still have enough to really cut that CC bill in half at least.

I think you did great with your money. It's not like your just spending it on frivolous things.
