Default RAOK a bright spot in my day

which otherwise stunk to high heaven.

DD#1 has outgrown her 3rd generation hand me down bike. DH was going to look for one for her at the church yard sale this weekend since he is in charge of sporting goods.

Well, my neighbor across the street went to a kids consignment sale today. She came home with a bike for Katie! It cost her $10 and looks like it has only been ridden once - the white tires were barely even dirty.

To top it off, when DH went to pay her back - she said forget it. She told us that we had watched their dogs while they were out of town and she was glad to do this for Katie.

That's great news Cheryl I'll bet the bike will have a happy home now

How nice of your neighbour to reciprocate a favour too!

Good neighbours are SO rare these days, so it's good that you all seem to be able to help each other out

That is so nice of your neighbor. And I am glad that it brightened your day...

My kids are always out growing their bikes before they look too bad, so DH and I are always giving the bikes to the next kid on the street... They think that it is so awesome to get a new bike.. If I can't use it why keep it or expect money from it.. Why not make someone elses day brighter... Right?
