We are the only family that can lose an aquatic turtle
Dh was cleaning the turtle tank, put our newest family member, big, mean Spooky Milkshake (that's what happens when the 3 and 4 year olds get to name a pet-that was their second choice, their first was "Daddy") anyway, dh put him with some water in a plastic box on the floor. A few hours later I hear that "um, honey" that never means something good is going on. Seems Spooky climbed out and took off-I have made fun of friends who have lost hampsters and gerbils etc. Here I am, losing an aquatic turtle in the kids bedroom! It took about 1/2 an hour before we found the beast under Josie's bed, covered in dust bunnies! Only in my house!

Lol, glad you found him. We had the same problem once & ours wasn't found till it was too late. Not sure if it was Moe, Larry or Curly but he was a dried out former shell of himself.

That's hilarious Kellie. We had a crab crawl out of our aquarium once. Dh found him the next morning (before we knew he was an escapee) in his boot. Didn't kill the crab, but he was shy a leg or 2 after Gripey crunched him. He made many attempts to break out after that too.
