Semi-bizarre request- need help finding distances.

Okay, I need some help. I know I can do this the old-fashioned way (map and ruler,) but I refuse to believe there isn't a site to help with this.

I am trying to find distances between two places, specifically a town in upstate NY and Cheshir, England. I have been able to find the distances within th US by putting the addresses in Yahoo maps and looking up driving directions, but I'm not having luck with distance to England. And I know it's out there!

Can anyone help? It dosn't need to be exact- it is just for the sign post project I posted a few weeks ago.

I can use NYC and London, then just tack on the driving distances from each of those places to the end points. That's how I would have to get there if I actually travelled, so that is what I was thinking I would do.
