Finally introducing myself....
Thank you Sara for prompting me to post finally...I pop in intermittently to read posts and look for ideas, however really do need the community and more frequent visits to stay on track, so bless you for "knowing" that some how.
I found the site back in March I do believe when I was looking to simplify our life.
I am a stay at home (disabled due to fibromyalgia) mom of 3. My children are 20 yrs, 11 yrs, and 15 mos (lol...yes you read that right). Fortunately we have no pets
My interests are crafting, cake decorating, I am trying to do some drawing and watercolors (I have not done any since high school), and overall learning. I adore watching my children and watch nature happen, which is easier to do when we simplify and live a more frugal life.
I hope to get more ideas and learn more techniques from the many smart people here and am looking forward to meeting many of you. Thank you for taking time to learn about me.

I have always wanted to do cake decorating. I have decorated tons of wedding cakes with flowers. (part of my previous job) I keep intending to register for Wilton classes too.

The Wilton classes are really great...very easy, they used to do them by mail. I actually had a small business from home doing weddings and such until the fibro got too bad. You should try it!

You should see me with just cupcakes and the frosting tubes. I'm pretty excited over just a little flower.
I can't imagine how giddy I'd get over anything much larger scale.
I always enjoyed decorating cakes with flowers. I worked so closely with the pastry companies and was so amazed with their work. I can't believe how artistic some cakes are.
I also can't believe the products available on just the wilton site as an example.

I get that way when I look at the scrapbooking and stamping stuff! I want to start doing that stuff now that I'm home and it looks so complex, I'm usually in awe and thinking "wow" there is so much to it...lol
I have been perusing the site a bit and I wish I had really gotten into it more sooner, I am glad you emailed me! I have been missing out I think! Thanks so much! I haven't posted anything else yet but have read a couple other threads on other subjects and will spend some more time here this weekend doing a bit of socializing! The kids keep me busy but Mom time is going to include a stop at frugalvillage now!!!!

Hey Catzz!

I'm somewhat of a
I have never tried cake decorating but made my DH this Dale Earnhardt cake w/a kit I bought from QVC a few years ago. I may try to make this again since you get the aluminum bake pan so the car shape is there but the decals, etc. are just a one-time use (refills are available @ the website) but I'm sure I'll get to learn the real decorating soon
& Many, many years ago the closest I got to using the Wilton tips/w/decorating bag was making a GARFIELD
for DH (we both love Garfield)
I love scrapbooking/stamping I make lots of cards (since I use some of the punched pieces...I have many different shapes of the paper shapers by EK Success!) I started punching out the shapes @ Dr.'s visit's between taking Ma & my brother there were many of them & it kept me busy while waiting. My creativity never ends
layering the punched pieces to create different dimensions, etc. I bought one of those plastic snap cases @ MICHAEL'S that has a clip on the top to hold my work in place & makes a great portable mini desk! This is why I started w/cards 1st but also used the pieces for scrapbook pages too
My DH is making me a scrapbooking/craft room it's still under construction & all my supplies are overwhelming need to get more organized once it's all done.
I got a few good deals @ MICHAEL'S this weekend I bought the Arnold Grummer's PaperMill Pro Kit $ 69.99 there was a 2-Day special 60% off coupon I paid $30.42 Total :dollars:
Also bought Arnold Grummer's PaperMill Paper Making Card Kit $49.99 w/the 60% off $21.73 Total :dollars:
I'm not sure but I think DH bought this for me last year for my Birthday or Christmas present but I made sure whatever he buys me @ MICHAEL'S he uses the 40% off coupon & I haven't had time to make any. It's been on my X-Mas list for years since it was available online but never in the store
DH doesn't do online shopping & hates the PC so I'm not allowed to use it while he's home
DH needs simplicity & he's got vision problems (myopic degenneration...similar to macular degenneration) Usually for my presents he likes going to the stores making me pick out stuff that's on my list, sometimes placing it in the shopping cart or just showing him where it's located then I'm to get lost in the store while he decided what to buy me? I was surprised the one year I got lots of stuff this was @ TJ MAXX/MARSHALLS he couldn't decided what to get & really liked ALL the stuff I picked out less than $100 dollars worth.
If this is the kit I have I'll probably give it away for a
