Default it's going to be one of those days

It's 6.30am and I've just let my dogs out from the shed they sleep in.  I could see a peacock trying to break into the chicken coop, the dogs chased it into the trees near the creek.  Then they found a goanna (huge lizard), another chase and me calling them to come back.  A goanna could easily gut a dog with one swipe of its claws.  All of this with me yelling out and them barking.

Oh well, at least I've woken up the neighbourhood on this quite Sunday morning.

LOL, you're dogs cause a lot of excitement! Already Sunday there? Seems so wierd to think you are a whole day away.

I've been doing house work and trying to figure up what bills to pay and when and why I never have enough.

    Happy Sunday sweetie!!!! heheheheh

I'm just starting my Saturday, having done the grocery shop, and checking in here. Sunday is yet to come.

I hope your day improves quickly.

Dogs just love critters that can kill them for some stupid reason. In northern BC some dogs are dumb about bears, they go out find one, irritate it by nipping at it, and bouncing around it, and when it charges they run kiyipping home to their owner, bear in full chase.

Dozer was a good bear dog, she grew up in the countryside and she would bark and create noise and move them away, not race back with one in tow. I remember camping out with her once, and she set up barking in the middle of the night. A big grizzly was trying to stroll thru, she herded it, with her barking and carrying on, out further and made it go around rather than thru camp.

Trouper my old Samoyed gentleman however simply avoided bears but dead fish had a magnetic attraction!

    dogs. Thanks for the memories.

Good watch doggies. Shouldn't the neighbors all be up? They are missing the best part of the day!

    LOL Margery.

That blasted peacock is still out there.  It's moved into the rainforest along the creek.  Every so often it honks, which makes the dogs bark.  I had them fenced off in a small area near the house but I just brought them inside.

I just took some photos of them just now for you.  I know you must still be missing Dozer.

They are proud to carry out their duty for you Rhonda. Very "official" looking too. My poodle Heidi is a frog dog. She loves to chase the frogs into the pool.....not much help as they get under the solar blanket and um, cook *ack*.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

oh they are the sweetest looking darlings!!!! They look so sharp and bright and full of life and laughter if I'm not mistaken at that twinkle.

Yes I do miss her a lot still. I'm not quite ready for another one just yet, have to wait a bit more I think. I'll know when the dog for us meets us needing a home. No one person ever replaces another, nor do animal friends.
