DH's great idea
DH had a bright idea about getting customers into our store early in the day. It's usually fairly quiet until after lunch. Last week he asked me to print up some vouchers for him that gave shoppers 10% off anything in our store if they shopped before 11.30am. We were going to give them to the Visitor's Centre (across the road from our store) to give out but he decided to do it himself.
So yesterday morning when I was working in the store, he walked through our village and gave the vouchers to people having breakfast at cafes or just walking down the street. lol I thought it would work, but OMG!
My first sale at 9.11 am was $234, the second at 9.20 was $110 and so it went on until 11.30. We ended up making four times as much as a normal Saturday!
I thought it was a great result from just a simple idea. He's doing it again today.
