What's a normal Saturday nite like with you?
Gripey and I usually go out to eat and then ride around the back streets of our small town for a bit, come home, watch t.v. and go to bed a little later than our "normal" time of about 10:30 or 11. This is sooo different than it used to be when we had kids at home.....

Kids playing outside if it is nice enough, me making something for dinner. Then we eat. and DH plops onto the sofa to watch tv while the kids whine that they want to watch their shows. I usually get clothes out for church, and then go read. We lead a boring life.

Wait for dh to come home from work. in the mean time the kids get their baths, we do our errands, lunch(often ds1 is at the inlaws, so this is our girls time out), chores, schooltime(if ds1 is home), watch tv, more chores, get dinner ready, eat, wait for dh to come home with ds1, bathtime for ds1, bedtime.

Ummm well I'd like to say we go out to dinner then go take in a show, and maybe go dancing, and wind up at home for mad passionate whatevers but.....
reality bites. It sounds so much more like we are interesting people that way. hmmm too bad, not true.
LOL we are both early birds and start yawning after 6pm, and are in bed by 8:30 (dh will often read in bed from 7pm) but lights are out and we are snoring by quarter to nine.
SO let's see.
I make dinner around 4 30 pm, and dh and I watch TV or fiddle around on the computers and then read and go to sleep. Sometimes I ask him if he wants to go out to a movie or to the bookstore, (chapters is open late on weekends I think) but we don't.
On our honeymoon we both tried SOO hard to stay awake to catch one of the 11pm cabaret shows put on by one of the Hawaii 5 O cast, can't even remember now who he was.
We couldn't manage it. At 1030 pm we gave up and crawled off to bed-- to sleep.
But mornings were delightful. We had beaches to ourselves for miles (4 am it's deserted!)
I just know we were a match made in heaven, we definitely exist on the same time zone.

Most nights~ Dinner at 6:45, dh snoring at 7:45 & me in bed by 9. Woohoo
Online friends are shocked & amazed to see me online later than that.
Some nights do find us having a nice outdoor fire and sitting in our comfy adirondack chairs staring at the fire, listening to music and talking about all kinds of things.~*Darlene*~

If it is my Saturday off, we usually cook something on the grill and have a nice supper and watch a DVD or we go play poker with friends or family. If it is my weekend to work, it is usually quick and easy supper a little television or Village time and then off to bed. Not real exciting here either but I sure am happy with my boring old life

Saturday night
We usually try to make sure the kids have had LOTS of outdoor play time, give them dinner and baths by about 7:00. We usually watch a library dvd or a tv show and let them crash. Dh usually then watches something he wants and I take a hot bath and read. It is more enjoyable than it sounds, lol.Mom to Emma, Spencer, Connor, Lily,Fletcher, Amelia and Adeline.

We're fairly active on weekends during the day, but come night time, it's usually just all of us watching a movie rental together. The kids go to bed and we either do homework, study, or watch something on IFC.
Earlier tonight we had the kids dress in their costumes and we popped some popcorn and all watched Casper. lol
Before dinner, we played magnetix with the kids, went to the park, an errand at Walmart, Ally got a haircut, out to eat for dinner, the dollar store, and rented a movie for all of us.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Well, tonight DH and I went to the bookstore and had dinner there. Burgers and soup and iced tea. I bought 1 magazine (country woman). We came home and I am checking a few of my favorite websites. Now I am going up to take a hot bath and read for an hour or so. Then I am off to sleep. Yes, I am a thrill a minute also! LOL I Wouldnt want it any other way.
See you all tomorrow

Dinner at home, baths for kids, reading books to the kids, singing songs to the kids. Once the kids go to bed, Rob and I try to watch a movie that we've borrowed or we'll try to find something to watch on tv together. After that, we're zonked out.

Saturday nights are very quiet here LOL, we have dinner around 7pm, kids are in bed by 8.30pm and then DH and I just watch a few things on TV or just chat over a couple of bottles of Bud. or a few cups of tea., generally I am so tired by early evening that I fall asleep on the sofa ( we all get up about 6.30am - my kids have yet to learn the meaning of a lie in LOL, at weekends DH and I take it in turns to get up with them so one of us can get a few hours extra kip). on the occasional saturday night we will go out to a local pub and meet with friends, but that happens rarely now due to money and tiredness LOL
