It's amazing what a little honesty does! I told BF about not moving in with him and he seemed to take it alright. He respects my decision. Then I told BF about my desire to buy a house. He seemed to take that well also. He says he prefers I don't so that we can buy one together in a year or two but if I feel the need then I should go for it.

Well, once this all got put out in the open options were out there. Once I admitted to myself I'd like a small house (for now anyway) my eyes became open to possibilities.

A small house came up for sale in the neighborhood I live in for a VERY inexpensive price because it's a real fixer upper. The neighborhood is a great one so it's a real opportunity. I finally got around to mentioning it to BF that maybe I could buy this and we (I) could fix it up and then sell when WE were ready to sell his house and buy our own. He LOVED the idea! He is a very good contractor but he only does work on the side, he has a 'real' job during the days.

Well, he who hesitates and all that...we missed out on that one but now we're really focused on this option.

We are going to look at a house today and we're very optimistic! It's in a great neighborhood and the price is crazy affordable. This is very doable and seems like a great option. We fix it up and I live there until BF is ready to sell his house then we sell both houses and buy together OUR house. He even mentioned BUILDING our own house in a couple years! (getting WAY ahead of myself here LOL)

Anyway, please send good thoughts my way that this is THE house

BF just called and he's almost here (he had to work today). When he gets here we go see the house

Well, keep those fingers crossed, we're going to put in an offer tomorrow!!! I'm not going to get ANY sleep tonight cuz I am so excited!!!
It's going to be a LOT of work but I think we're the people to do it!
It was tough, BF made me act so reserved and inside I'm hopping around thinking "I really LIKE this place! I'd be comfortable here for a couple years!"
