Default Do you have good neighbors?

We have wonderful neighbors across the street from us. Well, we have good neighbors all around us, but the couple across the street is neat.

She is 29 (I am old enough to be her mother!!!!) has a 13 month old and is pregnant. She gets the stuff to make cookies and cupcakes and invites my girls over to bake with her. A couple of days ago she brought over these adorable spider cupcakes she made for halloween.

We trade off watching kids, she watered my garden when I was gone out of town, and in turn she shared the tomato and squash harvest (in fact she got the only zucchini I managed to grow - LOL!).

It is nice to have a neighbor you can actually borrow a cup of sugar from!

Now that's a nice neighbor! We don't really know ours too well. We wave hello, but that's about it. My neighbor next door plows the end of our street though (the plow goes only to the side street that is right before our driveway, so our driveway never gets plowed ) Other than that, we don't really have too much interaction with them.

We used to but they have passed away.
The new neighbor stays on his side of the road and we stay on ours. We wave but thats all.
The rest of the neighbor are just there

I think we finally have some good neighbors because people are finally staying put for awhile in our neighborhood. Seems like for a while people moved every year or two and we never got to know anyone. Plus, most of us have kids and they are now at the age where we can go to the pool with them, so we have more contact.

We have great neighbors, some we are close to some not ...One couple that are a little older than us and also have grandson the same age as Joseph, have become really good friends of ours...Another neighbor has kids the same age as Joseph and we are pretty good friends with them also...Joe plays with their kids when he visits...I can't say we have any problems back here, except for the occassional dog barking late at night

I have a terrible nighbor on my driveway side........ She thinks she's saving the world....... She has too many cats...... anywheres between 20- and 50 and they are multiplying...... She doesn't have a job. So I don't know how she feeds them...... plus she has 2 dogs....... Her house smells really really bad..... Yes I have called on her. They don't do anything. Her cats spray all over my stuff. The smell is part of my asthma problems. And when it is hot the smell is even worse. My other neighbor is to busy working and dating. I do help the people around here. Drive the kids to school if the miss the bus........ take them to their dr appt. Give them food. When they don't have enough to feed their familys

Our neighbors are an older couple and she has 3 kerosene heaters. Last year when I was pregnant and the weather was suppose to be bad, as well as the times they called for snow & ice with possible power outages she offered us the use of one of them and a container of Kerosene. We never had to use it, but it was a good feeling knowing if we needed it it was there. She also told me were the keys were to her husbands riding lawn mower when we first moved in and hadn't brought ours up from my in laws house yet.

We don't really know our neighbors. A lot of people on our street are renters who don't take care of their things, their kids, or whatever. Our closest in proximity neighbors we wave to, talk a little in passing but that's about it. Of course we tend to keep to ourselves so I'm not complaining.

One set of neighbors are wonderful, older couple who have been wonderful to our kids over the years. Like Grandparents, taking an interest in what they care about & what's going on in their lives. They've been wonderful to us too, caring about us through good times & bad and sharing a love of nature and family.

Other neighbors keep to themselves and that's OK.

People here keep to themselves and don't care to get to know each other. We kind of know the neighbors across the road, but mostly it's a wave when we pass each other on our road kind of thing (both our properties are hidden by trees and such so we can't see each other's houses). Dh has talked to the neighbor to the north a few times, but we have nothing in common. We've not met anyone else in the year and a half we've lived here.

To the west of us is an incredibly violent neighbor. he's been locked up for it and is now under work release. hid wife left (smart too) when he was locked up. She was great. then to the north of our house is the one we call crazy lady. she's always drunk and drives us crazy. To the east of us we have renters and we've never met any of them. To the south is a great couple who have two dd's. they are wonderful and though we don't talk much, we like them alot. They made us a dinner right after ds2 was born!

We really like both families that live on either side of us. Good people.
