Default What one thing makes you smile?

A thing, not your kids, not DH, not Brad Pitt - a thing. What always makes you smile when you see it. It may or may not be something you own.

For me, it is my Hyacinths in Mar. popping through the ground. They smell so nice and I know spring is coming!

I have this little hand knitted finger puppet of a reindeer. It has antlers and a really silly look on his face. I have it sitting upright on a hook in my sewing room. EVERY time I look up, I see it, and smile.

Rainbows. I always think of God's promise to Noah, and His love.

These days so many things make me smile, things most people take for granted really.
The wind blowing, feeling my hair flowing in the wind and on my neck, it feels neat to me after 6 months if not able to "remember" what it was like.
The sun, granted it gets hot but, I just love the sun. I litterally need the sunshine . No sun is like cryptinyte with super man, zaps him. Well, when the sun is not out now, I have absoloutly no engery, barly enough to get out of bed, sometimes I can't(it is not don't want to, it is can't physically). The first time I was able to get outside after being couped up for about 5 1/2 weeks in the hospital, it was so beautiful and felt so wonderful. It was about mid Nov. and I had not even looked outside until that point. I did not want to because I did not know life anymore out of the hospital.
It brought an amazing smile on my face after, it almost became non-existstant for me, it was great and still is.

The water(I am/was a scuba diver but love, love the water) and just being at the water always makes me feel "happy" and smile. We have been able to go again a few times now over the summer. It gives me just such a warm, happy feeling.

Being able to hear all the sounds, birds singing, frogs "barking" or even just the kids playing.
I even smile just seeing the water on the cameras here. Of course being a diver, I know what is down there and it is just absoloutly breath taking.
Seeing a nurse shark about 2 years ago while diving, it was only about 7-8ft, brought such a huge smile to my face, I almst drowned. Of course, i wanted to touch it and give it a hug, what was I thinking?

Yes, a rainbow is an amazing promise to us and such a beautiful "thing".
