WOOHOOO!!! I think dd might have a job soon!!!
As many of you know, our son and daughter graduated with their degrees here in June. They worked their way thru, and both of them went to Europe on their savings.
Ds went for about 10 days
Dd has been there for almost 2 months, and got back on Friday.
I've been watching her take a risk, going to Europe and doing her big trip BEFORE getting a permanent job. (Ds still had his part time almost full time bank teller position).
I was praying she'd find a job (not so easy here in BC even with economic recovery starting to happen in some areas) when she got back.
Well she got back on Friday, started seriously hunting on Monday and it looks like one of the gals she worked with a while back in Tim Hortons (Canadian donut chain) is now middle management at Sears,
remembered her, and when she went in, she sat her down for an interview that minute and is pulling for her to get in.
If this happens, I'm grateful, but even if it doesn't, it's such a lovely boost for dd to realize that her hard work and good ethics and behaviour made her stick in other people's memory.
DS just got a permanent position at the bank, as an officer (which simply means he works one step up from teller and is on the rungs of the ladder) just a week ago.
And now maybe Dd will also have a job with permanent hours, wages and benefits.
I am so grateful to God for looking after them both. Feels good, like they are "really" launched.
LOL it was a clue, when they graduated and moved out from home, but now it feels real.
heheheheheheh
just had to share my joy!
