    Default Pretty proud of myself

You all have inspired me to be more frugal Well, I didn't have much choice this week since we are broke & have 9 days until payday. I went through our cabinets, took inventory of all we had & tried to put a menu together for all the meals until the 15th.

I went to the bread outlet & got 3 loaves of bread, bagels, 12 hamburger buns, brown & serve rolls, 4 small containers of applesauce, cheese crackers & a package to make gravy...all for $12! I am going to keep going there! Grocery store bread is too expensive.

Before I left, I looked at my grocery store ad online & planned what to buy. Luckily, I bought a bunch of chicken last wee so we have that. But, I needed about 6-7 more dinners, some breakfasts (we are a cereal/waffle family) and lunches. I only spent $49 there!

So, a total of a little over $61 for 9 days. Now, this is for a family that used to eat out about 2-3 times a week, plus lunches on weekends. We're trying LOL

It does feel great. Here is my other problem. I know that I can do this but what I fail to do is find the bargains and shop this way when we do have money & I need to continue to shop this way not matter what

You really did good. As far as continueing this way? I think it's fun to challenge yourself to see how long you can go and how much you can stockpile before breaking down and eating a meal out. You're family will adjust and get used to it really soon.
