Default How's this for a babysitter?

One of the women in my Sunday School volunteered to come and watch Amanda while we went to our hearing today. She said she had a15% off Kohl's coupon and there was a sale so she was taking Amanda out.

When we got home from the hearing they weren't here. We called her and she said they were still out having fun. They got home about an hour later with a HUGE Kohl's bag. In it were a pair of jeans and cords for each girl, 3 tops apiece, matching christmas nightgowns, Dora panties for Amanda, and a Christmas dress for each one!

I was floored! She took Amanda to McDonald's and got her a My Little Pony.

    What a blessing!

I don't know how I missed this thread the other day.

Anyway, you have a lot of great people doing a lot of RAOKs for you, and I think that says an awful lot about who YOU are.

You must be really involved in your community and very giving yourself, or they wouldn't come together for you this way.

Amanda must have had such fun! What a great friend.

Thanks for that Kimberly. Sometimes I hesitate to post because we are not out seeking charity - we are trying to make our own way. But people are being so kind and helpful. It's not really about us I don't think - it's our wonderful friends and church family. Both of our families are far away (NJ & KY) so our church family has rallied around us. We are blessed.
