What fond comments have you received about your FRUGAL habits?

So, I started thinking about NICE or FUNNY comments family members have said about our frual habits.

My DH says that asking my online frugal friends about grocery sales is 'like a junkie asking his dealer for advice!'

One of my IRL friends hit 2 grocery stores on her way to children's activities. She said, "On the way home, I need to stop in Meijer's." [another grocery store] Her teenage son looked at her and said, "Don't they have a 12-step program for people like you?"

I have one very, very frugal friend (well she's really cheap...and there is a difference, we've talked about that before) but she recently told me that I am the best "bargain shopper" that she knows. I nearly burst with pride, b/c coming from her that was a very big deal!

last spring when it was time to buy food for the little league picnic, dh told the president that whatever it was that they decided on serving to let me know and i could find the best deals on the food for them.

that's a big deal to me because it's not that often that dh will brag about meespecailly about saving money and finding good bargins. he thinks it's an odd hobby of mine

some of the girls at work call me the coupon queen though some of them have a stunned look on their faces when i pull out my coupon binder to file coupons.
