Default The Holiday pics I promised of the English Lake District.

I have a LOT of pictures to share, I welcome your comments, but PLEASE can you wait to post them until  I have finished posting the pictures.

They are all pictures taken in the English Lake District, whihc is in the North West of England.

We go there once or twice (occasionally three times ) a year for a week at a time.

It is a great place to re-charge one's batteries and it has a very "other worldly feel" I think it's as close to Heaven as we get in the UK LOL!

I will let you know which is the last picture and then if you are still awake (!)you can give me your thoughts and opinions

This is a HUGE carving  and has been done by local artisans, it is a fantastic piece that sits behind the trees just at the side of lake Derwentwater, it is along a beautiful route we walk our dog when we visit.

A selection of very cute and characterful buildings for you to savour, and if it's any consolation to you I am dreaming of retiring to something like one of these in a place like this, well, you just never know........................

Can you imagine how cute it would be to live in one of these, they are real live houses and some lucky folks actually live in them
