I'm back!
Not that anyone noticed I was gone, lol, but we're home. Jack & I went off on a trip to visit family in North Carolina & Delaware. Left 5:30am Thurs and got home last night. We had a nice time & great weather, 60's to low 70's. We went hiking, boating, visited, wined & dined and drove & drove & drove.
Nice to see everyone but oh so nice to be home.
This was our first trip without the children, felt so wierd not to hear "Are we there yet?" or "I've got to go to the bathroom." We made the 11hr. drive to NC in one trip and only stopped twice.
Good to be back and now I'm off to go thru 400+ posts.

I noticed you were gone

Glad you had such a nice trip. We drove to NC a few years ago, and it's one drive I never want to do again (I *hate* long car rides!)

Well I certainly noticed you were gone!
Glad you and Jack got away to visit family and alone to boot!
Are you sure YOU didn't ask just one time "Are we there yet?"

Welcome home, I missed you. Glad to hear that you and Jack had a great time. It does feel funny to take that first trip without the kids when the nest becomes empty. I remember the first time we went camping by ourselves, I felt like I was missing something or forgetting something because it was so quite and relaxing, LOL.
