Default My 30 year HS was this past weekend

I didn't go because of the cost of gas to drive from NC to KY, plus time off for DH and Katie. Anyway, one of the former classmates emailed me pictures. I was glad to see I wasn't the only one who got fat over 30 years! It is funny how you have a picture of so many of these people in your mind just as they were in your HD yearbook. I kept looking at people and thinking - who are all these old people with wrinkles! LOL! What was funny is I wouldn't have known most of them without name tags.

Of course, there were those few you want to slap who were cute as a button in HS and still look the same.

How fun to see the pictures of your classmates at your reunion. I am sorry you did not get to go but it was sweet of your friend to send you the pics.

Sorry you didn't get to go. This summer we went to Philip's 10 year reunion. Everyone thought he looked just the same (I think he looks even better!). We left early with some of our close friends because Philip said, "This just reminded me why I didn't like some of those people in the first place!"

Yikes! Even if I wanted to spare the $$$, NOTHING would attract me to my 30-yr reunion!

My dh's 30 year reunion was last August. It was held in NYC, I was more excited about it than he was, lol.
I don't look forward to attending my own in 3 years. I still live in the same town I grew up in, so it's not as exciting to me.

The ONLY way I will go to my 30 yr (in 09) is if I am famous and/or rich. You can see JUST how likely it is that I am going...

It's nice that you got to see pictures. My tenth was when Maggie was only a few months old, and there was just no way I was going. I really didn't stay in touch with even my closest high school friends more than 3 or 4 years after high school. I was popular with a lot of different cliques, but I just didn't care that much about it, KWIM?

But we actually do have a website for my class, so I can always look in to see what others look like.

I know what you mean. I still see my best friend from HS once a year - we meet for a girls weekend away. I have Christmas Card contact with some - a couple go to the same church as my Mom. I met up with another friend last year. The others - well I just really wanted to see who was fat and bald! LOL!
