I'm so cheap, I. . . . . How cheap are you?
I'm so cheap, I save bath water to flush the toliet.
I'm so cheap, I hang laundry in the rafters of my basement , year round.

I'm so cheap...
~ my DH takes all homemade items to lunch every day (homemade bread, homemade cookies, etc.)
~ my DH takes his lunch to work in a washed-out frozen veggie bag (his co-workers and friends teased him til they saw all the yummy homemade-yness of his lunch -- ha!
)
~ I cut off the bad leg of two pairs of pantyhose to make 1 good pair, then use the old legs for long gloves for my short-sleeve dresses.

I use the cereal bags for wax paper to cover microwaved foods. I buy a roll of wax paper about once a year. I HATE plastic wrap, so don't keep it around.

We visited my husband's aunt and uncle in Illinois several years ago. They used to live in California where they had had to pay for trash pick up by the number of trashbags picked up and they learned to throw very little away. They showed us how they were using cereal bags for storage bags (instead of ziplocs) and I was totally impressed. Good for you Lori!Originally posted by Lori Biever-Launder

As for my own claim to cheapness --- I wash my hands in cold water. Its not much, but I absolutely hate to think of the hot water running down the drain! Oh, we also limit our 2 kids to 10 minute showers --- not so easy with a soon to be 13 year old girl. DH and I are good about dashing under the shower spray just long enough to get clean --- no tarrying!~~Jean~~
