Default What is the view out your kitchen window?

When I look out mine I see the butterfly bush off our deck. Beyond that is the common area of our neighborhood and some trees - there are no houses directly behind us - just open space.

We have 2 windows. One we look out and see a large maple tree and wide open space.

The other window, we look out and see our back entrance. We have a bird feeder there so we can watch the birds. I can also see dh's workshop.

My neighbor's house. She's got lovely flowers & they take care of their yard. I like it.

Of course, right now I see snow.

Out my kitchen windows you see the enclosed back porch. Then the backyard through those windows.

But here is the view from my front porch...and I have to mention, it was 68* yesterday

Well I have a beautiful view of forests, the fraser river and Mt.Baker and all the distant mountains called the cascades. We are perched on the side of thornhill and the house was built by the previous owners to maximize the views. We are in a secluded and rural area and we only sew a few other houses on the other side of the river.
People all say the same thing when they first visit my home. "That is one heck of a driveway, how do you get up it in the snow?" and "What a gorgeous view!". It isn't practical but it is lovely.

I can see the side of another condo building. There are 4 condos in each building so I can see a little side yard by one & 2 front doors. Nothing special but it's not bad

Side yard with some trees, including cedar, hackberry and wild plum. The wild plum are pretty when they are in bloom in the spring. My bird feeders are in this area.

At the edge of the "yard" is a wet weather creek that has water flowing in it during rainy periods and in the spring up until the heat of the summer. Across the creek is an overgrown pasture with 2 big pear trees, and a neglected apple and peach tree. Also TONS AND TONS of poison ivy, which is why the pasture is overgrown. DH is terribly allergic and the tractor/brushhog has been out of commission for years. During the winter we often see deer along the "creek" and in this overgrown pasture. And in the summer we saw a spotted fawn and doe several times.

Over the sink- my driveway and a bunch of arbor vitae.

Out the sliding glass door, my deck and pool area, with a backdrop of gogeous hills.

Here's an older thread & pic of the view from mine. No snow yet but it's coming I'm sure. What do you see when you look out your kitchen window?=2
