it's a no sale
Well, I got a call from the real estate agent while I was at the store yesterday. The woman who came to look at the store is not buying it.
Apparently she went to see her accountant with all the information we gave her and he told her they couldn't afford to buy a store - not any store, they don't have the money.
I'm not really sure what to think. I would have thought they'd have checked their finances out BEFORE looking.
We're looking on the bright side. It gives us more time to build our stockpile and it also gives us the lucrative pre-Christmas trade. When we put it on the market, both DH and I thought it would most likely sell over the summer holidays. That seems to be the natural time that things sell here.
I'm still feeling a bit disappointed though. It would have been a dream run if it had sold to the first person who looked.
Thanks to you all for your good wishes and prayers. I really appreciate each and every one of you for thinking of us.

Aw Rhonda, I'm so sorry, and you're right, they should have had their finances checked first!
I'm glad you can look on the bright side. I just know there is someone out there for your store!

Rats, Rhonda! What a disappointment.
Being able to look on the positive side(s) of this is wonderful. Thank goodness you didn't get deep into transactions with this woman and then find out she couldn't swing it.~~Jean~~

Rhonda, I am sorry you didn't get the sale what a shame
What a pity folks don't check out the financial side first
Anyway, it's good that you can see the up-side to this, I hope the next person is more "together" so you can go ahead.
Good look with it

I'm sorry Rhonda...to put it bluntly, that sucks.
However, I love your positive attitude and someone will definitely come along who is right for your store!

Oh Rhonda!!! Sending hugs, and hoping and wishing like crazy that the buyer that is meant to be (not a ditzy sort like that one) would just shake his or her buns on it-- move fast, look around and say GEEZ LOUISE I gotta do something to invest in a good little business and just trot right on down there and buy you two out!
Hey anytime you got a live one, let us know and we will be praying or cheering or wishing or whatever we all do best, to make it go right.
HUGS!!!!!
