let's get to know each other over the cyber kitchen table.  I have baked fresh blueberry muffins, apple muffins and pumpkin muffins and a loaf of fresh bread with homemade sweet butter and I have the coffeepot on and the tea kettle is going.  Sit down and stay a spell, have a warm muffin or piece of bread and a cup of your favorite coffee or tea and tell each other about ourselves.

2. Were you named after anyone? my mom- that's why I use my middle name, so we don't get confused

Hello, all! Hope you don't mind that I brought along my Irish Soda Bread to go along with the feast that katybird so generously provided. It's my Irish grandmother's recipe, and it's delicious!

My mother and my grandmother are both Mary, also.

3. Do you have a journal or diary?
Not anymore. It used to be my passion, and I miss it sorely!

4 What is your favorite thing about yourself?
I might fail sometimes, but I always at least try to be kind to everyone I meet.

5. What is your least favorite thing about yourself?
My health is bad, and I get very down about it-- probably using it too often as an excuse for sloth.

Lilacs

Rushing mountain creeks

Don't really have one

I feel that God has blessed me with writing talent (and a passion for it!)

In the theater? Can't remember. But my DH and 11-yr-old son and I just finished watching the Men in Black II DVD. Great fun.

Swiss Orange Chip by Swenson's, hands down! Only they don't make it anymore, and I don't live anywhere near one, so I just limp along with anything chocolate.

Short, cute boots, as a change from my usual ultra-comfortable Born shoes.

No clue.

14. What is your most embarrassing CD?
John Denver. (But I'm from CO, and his music really speaks to me.)

BLT on wheat, or maybe smoked turkey with provolone on wheat.

Never! Just brushing my teeth sometimes gives me a headache!

17. Do you like your house?
It's just fine. We're actually renting now, which we've never done, and it's odd. We're building a new home on land we bought -- or were building, till DH's company declared bankruptcy and we decided it would be foolish to proceed. So, we're in a rental longer than we thought. The house is smaller than we're used to, but quite adequate -- and the gorgeous setting in the Black Hills just can't be beat!

Yes, indeed! We've only lived here a few months. Moved voluntarily, paid for it ourselves and everything. It's just so friendly and more, well, "real" than the major metro area we just moved from. And did I mention the scenery?

Maybe Seinfeld -- although I'll probably think of something else once I post this.
