Default Great news about DD's surgery.

Just last night, about 11 hours ago, I was talking to DH about DD's surgery, which was scheduled for January 27th. I told him I really wished it was sooner as having to wait that much longer was taking it's toll on my psyche. (Given that I have panic attacks and anxiety disorder, that is to be expected.)

We got a call this AM from her surgeon- they want to move the surgery up to next Friday. I was able to change her pre-surgical physical to next Wednesday, and it is a go.

Please send good vibes/prayers for us this week and next- I am already anxious about it, though I know she will be fine.

That's good news that you don't have to wait too long now.

I am sure Maggie will be fine, whenI did the Paediatric(UK spelling ) Theatre cases the kids were troupers, they saw it as an adventure, it was the parents that got all teary and upset

    Thank you, everyone.

We are preparing her now. We thought we had more time, so now we have to move a little more quickly getting her used to us putting ointment over her eye, since she will need antibiotic ointment post-surgery. She knows the doctor will be taking "lumpy" away and she wasn't really thrilled about it, but we told her we would give her chocolate and ice cream when it was done, so now she doesn't mind.

My mother was supposed to come up to help keep me calm before/during the surgery, but she is in Florida until 3 days after the surgery. I did get ahold of my MIL and the day before the surgery is the last day of her semester (she is a professor) and she will come up and stay for the night before and the following day. Although she generally makes me more anxious, I know if I take a sedative, I will be glad she is here.
