Default Grrrr Can I just vent a little?

I have been doing laundry and straightening up this morning. Amanda has been her the girl's room watching tv - supposedly. I heard what sounded like jumping on the bed, and told her not to be jumping on the top bunk of the bed - her sister's bed.

Well, she comes downstairs to get her lunch and tells me that one of "the things under Katie's bed broke." Yippee - a slat is broken now. I suppose I should be grateful that she was honest.

Then, I go to pick up the living room some and discover she ate both Christmas cookies that Katie made and decorated and Brownies last night. Ugh. I'll have to listen to Katie whine about that later. Granted - Katie should have put them up, but sheesh!

I have to do things around the house. I cannot sit on her every minute of the day.!

Amanda and Katie were supposed to go to a friend's birthday party tomorrow, but I am not going to let Amanda go. Alas, that will be punishment for me because I will be the one who has to stay home and listen to her have a tantrum.

    Calgon take me away......

Just keep telling yourself that someday when they are grown and flown and have children of their own, you will look back on these days and laugh. Mine are grown now and my 2 oldest have families of their own and I think back to days like the one you are having and they bring a smile to my face.

I'm not sure if I miss those days or relieved they're over. I think both...
