Well, it doesn't look as if DD's surgery is going to happen this week.
She has a cold.

The surgical coordinator told us in October that if she had a cold, they wouldn't do the surgery. Don't you know that after we talked to her on Thursday and got everything rescheduled, DD started to sound stuffy.
I have to call tomorrow and tell them. My guess is we will have to reschedule again, which means we will have to wait even longer than origianlly, since they have probably already given away our January slot.

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. I know you were anxious to have it done. I hope that they can find another date that isn't as long as the original date.
I hope your DD gets over her cold soon!~*Michelle*~

Oh no, maybe she'll feel better in the morning? Hope she's better & you all can get this surgery behind you asap.

I think this is the worst cold she has ever had, too. I can only guess she got it at the library playing with the toys.
Hopefully they will be able to fit someone else into her slot and then move her into their slot. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

I'm sorry to hear that Maggie has to wait for her surgery. It's for the best though, a chest infection and anaesthetic don't mix well. I send hugs for her (and you).

Actually, the surgical coordinator wouldn't cancel, much to my surprise. She wants us to take DD in for her pre-surgical physical Wednesday, and she says as long as her chest is not congested (seems to be mostly her head now) that they WILL do the surgery. But I am prepared to have her passed by her ped. and still refused at the surgery if they don't like the way she sounds. Obviously, I want to do whatever is best for her health and the outcome of the surgery.

I would be nervous/leary too Kimberly. I would tend to go with the doctor's advice above all.
I hope she has a speedy recovery from the cold and the surgery won't have to be delayed.~~Jean~~
