    Default Our library lets patrons suggest books to be considered for purchase.

    In the past few months, I've suggested 7 or 8 titles.

    And ...

    The library is buying most of them! And, when the new books come in, they'll hold them for me, since I was the one who requested them!!!

    Here's what the library has ordered BECAUSE OF MY BIG MOUTH!

    * Phantom of the Opera -- DVD
    * Polar Express -- DVD
    * Real Beauty -- book by the publishers of American Girl
    * Hungry Planet: What the World Eats (Menzel, Peter)
    * A Street Through Time (Millard, Anne)
    * Saving Dinner (Ely, Leanne)

    It's thrilling in a lot of ways: Someone respected my judgment enough to shell out money for those books; and I saved a chunk of change because the library is getting books I want to read! And being the first one to check out new stuff is fun.

    That is wonderful. I will have to see if my library has a program like that.
