If I Were Physically Able, I'd Kick Myself!
So, last night, when the kids and I got home, I saw that the part of the driveway where we get out of the van was still icy. So, I parked over a little bit. When Rob got home, he parked as far over as he could, but had to park a bit behind me as well. (Not sure I'm explaining this well.)
Anyway, this morning, I'm in a rush to get to work because I had a parent coming in, and I had a gajillion things running through my mind, and what do I do? I'll tell you what I didn't do. I didn't remember where Rob was parked, and I didn't look in the rearview mirror. Then, I heard the scrape and crunch and realized I had just hit Rob's truck. So, there's now a long dent and scrape in the side of his truck. Big scrapes along the side of my van. Cosmetically, I could care less. However, we are eventually hoping to sell his truck and this will totally lessen the resale value. More than anything, though, I'm just angry with myself for being so careless.
Luckily, it was so cold this morning that everyone just assumed my face was red due to the weather, not due to the crying I did on the way to school. As I said, if I was physically able to kick my own butt, I'd be doing it!!!

That's a bummer! Like everyone else said, it could have been a whole lot worse. Just be thankful that the damage was minor. Plus, your pregnant. . .just blame it on the hormones. And, someday, this may be something you laugh over. Although money is important, its certainly not everything. We've all done stupid things before!

Wow- and I thought I was having a bad day yesterday. My BIL did this same sort of thing to my car about 5 years ago. And actually, my nephew did this same thing to my mother's car when I was a kid. It must run in the family. Sure you aren't related to us?
Sorry this happened to you....
