Thumbs up Got to meet baronmom's dh

this past week. He made the trek from PA to Texas to meet some folks that "adopted" him while he was in Iraq. It was great to meet him, visit with him and am hoping that the next time he comes back he brings Traci with him

He's a very nice guy and it was great to hear him talk about Iraq to the kids at school.

Did he make it home alright Traci? He's probably worn to a frazzle after the hunting, the people, the meals, the people......lol.

Yep, he made it home fine. He had a blast with all you guys, and can't wait for the next time. He just kept telling me how great and friendly everyone was, and how flat Texas was. I hope that we can come down to visit again. I want to be able to meet everyone as well. Hope you liked the ornament.

Oh the ornament is wonderful! It hangs in a place of honor on our tree. (you see it from the side facing the front door) Thank you for that, it's really very nice and I'll treasure it always.

They were hand painted and we sold them as a fundraiser while the guys were away. We did it the last time that they were deployed as well. The girl does a really nice job. She even personalized them if you wanted them that way. I had gotten the first set done when he was in Germany. I decided not to bother with this batch as there was already lots of stuff on the Christmas ball.

I could tell it was hand painted and you're so right, she does a great job. I just love it, I'm sure you did well raising funds with them.
