    Default Yay!

I got an early Christmas gift. We were given a gift card on Sunday and DH told me to get groceries and a bread machine with it. So, yay! I havbe a bread machine now!! It is a Sunbeam brand machine. I can't wait to try it out.

Does anyone else have a bread machine? Is Bread machine flour/ bread machine yeast necessary? Do you make your own mixes? What's your fav recipes??

I found my bread machine next to the dumpster - so far, I just use regular bread recipes with regular ingredients, but I think it comes out better when I bake it myself (mine has the "dough" setting that will just make the dough, then you can bake it).

If you want, email me and I'll send you a PDF of the manual for my machine - I ended up emailing the manufacturer for it since it's very old. MY manual has some recipes in it (mostly "whole grains" kind of thing)

I use regular flour in mine, but I add a tsp of gluten to each C of flour. It has better texture and rises better.

Also, buy your yeast in bulk. It is waaaaaaay cheaper!

I used to have a Sunbeam breadmaker, but like Pepper, I gave it away because I prefer handmade.

I never bought bread machine flour or yeast. Just used regular flour and made my own mixes. There are TONS of free bread machine recipes all over the internet.
