    Default Natural Gas Question

    Hi,
For all you who heat your house with natural gas how much is it per MCF where you are? Here it is I believe $18.59 per MCF. I about fell over last night after we got the bill. Yikes, it's going to be a chilly winter in our house. I just wanted to get a comparisson to the rest of the country/world!

Hmm, had to go looking for some conversion "One Mcf contains approximately ten therms" , so about $13.10 per MCF for you YankeeMom. Hmm, I'm starting to think I live in and expensive part of the country for natural gas.........

Our city locked our's in at $8 per mcf. In 2001 we paid about $14. That just about killed us.

This may be a stupid question, but how do you get a "locked in rate"?
