    Ours is the automatic message the machine does on its own --- "after the tone, please leave a message". Probably we should make it a little more personal --- but its kind of funny listening to the wrong number messages we get ---

    Mine has GARFIELD'S voice w/a strange saying!

    It was a FREE download from http://www.garfield.com

    a few years ago & since DH & I love GARFIELD it was purrrrfect!

    It's not in this listing! But it says:

    Garfield here...nobody can answer the phone there's a bunch of gerbils ransacking the house...leave a message or call animal control!

    I'm not sure about the exact wording but similar to that!

    It really annoys one of my Aunts & DH says who doesn't like it he doesn't care.

    I got a few calls where people got such a laugh outta it they hung up cause they were laughing sooo hard & couldn't talk!

    Others left me a message about thats so different & they loved it!

    I guess if you like GARFIELD you'll find it quite funny!

    I also recorded it to my voicemail message which I need to record another message on Verizon now since changing from Sunrocket VOIP back to regular landline phone.

    DH didn't know I switched to VOIP & couldn't figure out why the answering machine wasn't working...so I did the same message. But now the voicemail only answers if nobody picks up the call waiting when chatting on the phone it switches to VM!

    i'm not sure what it says. dh actually recorded the message.

    years ago the daughter of a lady i worked with recorded a message that was really cute. something about hello this is the ***'s refrigerator, the answering machine is out of town. if you would like to leave the 888s a message i'll write it down and stick it to myself with one of my cute magnets.
    the lady told me to call her house to listen to it. i was in stiches over it. she did a funny voice to go with it too.

    Right now it has my 2 dks singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and then they say Happy Holidays from the ********* please leave your name and number and we will call you back.

    Usually it just says......."Hi, sorry we missed your call, please leave your name and number and we will get back to you as soon as we can......thanks!"

    like... Home, home of the strange....the sick, deluded deranged...It really don't matter--if you're mad as a hatter....
    a call back can still be arranged...
