What an afternoon!
We just spent the afternoon cleaning the laundry room. Why? yes, it needed cleaning, but we hadn't planned on it just yet, since we are all sick. The reason? I had sat my umbrella in the laundry tub to dry since it was soaked from when I was out walking the dog. DS#1 started a load of laundry for me and didn't see the umbrella. It fell over and plugged up the drain! Yep, there was 40+ gallons of water on the floor. To make matters worse, DS#1 hadn't swept up the kitty litter from behind the litter box. WE have clumping litter which turns into a slick MESS when it's wet. We spent an HOUR cleaning and mopping up. Sheeeesh--what a PAIN. We are all beat.
