Another Washingtonian Newbie
I heard about Frugal Village from a posting on Simpleliving.net.
I am always looking for ways to cut costs of living and doing things in a more green way.
I have 2 grown daughters and they have given me 3 delightful grandsons, 4 yr, 3yr and 21 mo.
In another life 20+ yrs ago I was one of the original Granola Moms, made my own baby food, breastfed til they were at least 2, grew my own garden, canned the produce, baked my own bread, etc., etc. Now I am an aging Baby Boomer and still like to do the baking and homekeeping...and the current economy insists that I still look to cut costs. I went back to college late in life and got my Journalism degree, and am working p/t at a local paper. I would like to do more freelancing, but need to be more organized. I am a native Washingtonian, but lived in Florida last year during the big 4 hurricanes.
I have 2 kitties; one is a polydactyl tabby.
Not married, but taken.
Reading, baking, gardening, playing with grandsons are my hobbies.

Welcome, neighbor. We have much in common. I skipped the baby food altogether, breastfed one for year, but made up by nursing the other for three years. I grow the garden, can the produce and I just learned to bake bread (thanks to these forums).
