Default whatcha been up to today??

Me? Not much. The kids had a play date so I took down the tree and Christmas decorations. DH wanted to wait till New Year, but since the kids weren't here, I had the time.

I have done loads and loads of laundry. I have gotten dishes done, and the floor vacuumed.

I went fabric shopping and got some bandannas from Hobby Lobby. Picked up some pet supplies too.

I have to make dinner then maybe after that I will do some sewing/quilting. Maybe. Depends on if the kids are cooperative. Especially DS2. Or maybe some crochet. Maybe both, depends on my energy.

I think that pretty much sums up my day, how about yours?

I didn't do too much today besides cleaning 4-5 times over. I don't know why I just don't wait until the end of the day to do it. Oh yeah, I can't stand a mess!

Played some board games with the children tonight, gave them a bath and they are in bed now.

I have some cinnamon bun dough rising at the moment and sitting here on FV.

Gonna watch Trading Spouses at 9:00 then after that, not sure what I'll do.

I hope everyone has a wonderful night.

I had a lovely day today. I took my Aunt Sue to our favorite tea room, we go there 1x each season. Then we took a ride to mushroom country. I bought 3 lbs of regular mushroom and 3 lbs of exotic mushrooms. Cost $8.00 They are so fresh when you buy the directly from the mushroom houses. Tomorrow I will sautee them in butter and wine and freeze them in individual packs. I will probably make some cream of mushrom soup and use them to make omlets for breakfast tomorrow. Tonight DH and I went to Longwood Gardens. We took a nice walk, it is warm for Dec. Looked at the CHristmas lights and went to a Christmas sing-along they had tonight. Now I am having a cup of tea and catching up at the village

I worked all day today. This is my busy season, I develop tax software. No time to put decorations up so don't have to take them down! I came home from work, did a load of dishes picked up all of the dog toys scattered around the house and now I'm going to go vacuum!!

Laundry this morning, made a salad for lunch (for me) and PB&J for Molly. Then we went to meet some members of our homeschool group at a local park. Then we went to the library to return some books and check out a few more. Then home, took an hour long nap and went to work.

It doesn't seem like I did too much when I thnk about it.

I packed DH's lunch and made him breakfast. Then went back to bed to sleep an extra hour. (I love vacation!)

After finally getting up, I did some laundry and stripped the sheets on my bed and washed them too. Dakota helped me put them back on the bed.

I put away dishes, folded some laundry and put it away. Then I had to take the boys to dental cleanings. That took almost 2 hours. I feel like that was lost time, but I didn't have any other plans anyway.

After making dinner, I decided I would study a bit. Then Dakota started working on his 550 piece puzzle he received for Christmas. We started working on it last night and finished it tonight. I enjoyed working on it with him. Some of it was hard, especially the grass and the trees. Way too much green!!

Think I am done for the day.

Well, my day was not that productive, but:

*Went out shopping and hit up the Bath & Body Works clearance - tonight I'm going to have some quality pampering time! I also got a CD box set I've wanted for a long time (Simon and Garfunkel)
*Decluttered one kitchen cabinet, moved some things into our new hutch

I think I'm going to surf the net for a new bread recipe - and make a loaf tonight!

    (I LOVE vacation!)

This morning all four animals had a vet appt at 9am. We didn't get out of the vets office until 11am But we got Macy her borditella vac, heartworm meds (6mos worth), and flea meds (3 mos worth), Topper his borditella, rabies, & distemper vacs, heartworm meds (6mos) and flea meds (3 mos). Poncho, the new kitty, got his rabies & distemper vac. They were supposed to deworm him but it got forgotten. We also got some ointment for his eye...poor little duffer has conjunctivitis. We also got some flea meds (3mos) for him. Then Caspi was seen for his swollen chin. Turns out he has cellulitis, cause unknown. His chin is so full of gunk he was actually bleeding out of his hair follicles So he's on antibiotics. Flea meds (3mos) for Caspi too. All that for the bargain price of $232

Then I came home & folded 12 loads of laundry (5 more to go) while dh took the van in for repairs (under warranty) and an oil change.

Now I'm waiting for my dinner to get done so I can EAT

Traveled back from my in-laws 2 days early. Everyone has been sick with one virus after another. I will be so thankful when the new year finally gets here! Our christmas did not go well at all.

We ate out tonight and put a few things away. Mostly I've got work on top of work piled up to do tomorrow.

Yankee mom, is Caspi a Maine coon?? Our Lenny (when I was a teen, grey MC) had a severe case of what amounted to kitty acne on his furry little chin. Hair fell our, it swelled, bled and oozed. We were given this white cream that we had to put on it. Took two weeks to go away, after that it never once came back.

Sorry I haven't been on here I've been busy, tired too

On Christmas Day while @ DH SIL house Ma was having problems walking. She says she was weak & after sitting on a normal toilet there (we have a handicap taller one) she had problems standing back up. We thought maybe because of her back problems she has kifosis she doesn't walk around enough outta the house just from/to her room to the bathroom or kitchen.

So she wanted to rest but on Monday when she didn't get outta bed @ all we called the ambulance to take her to the hospital. DH has off until 2006 so he's been helping me alot.

We didn't leave the hospital until somewhere after 2 AM when she finally got a room. DH & I went to bed somewhere around 4 AM. We slept until 10 AM visiting hours starts @ 11 AM.

Our sleeping schedule is crazy now since DH is off from work. We have been sleeping until 9 or 10 AM.

Ma has elevated sugar levels, some kind of infection in her spine they gave her an IV w/an antibiotic, did an MRI, CT scan, & scheduled for a galium scan today!

DH & I have been cleaning her room, we replaced the carpet from a greyish blue color to a sage green since she spilled lots of drinks like her Boost & gingerale cleaning would take a while so we decided to put in a new carpet & we need to get something to match the hallway too. Were not sure if we're going to carpet it or put in a fake wood type floor.

DH is building her an easier to reach ClosetMaid closet & we got rid of her old metal one which was sooo dark & hard to find stuff in especially if anything fell off the hangers & landed @ the bottom.

I paid my NEXTEL bill online & surprised my usual link I've used now has a pop-up blocker so I have to unblock it really wierd!

I had to also pay the renewal registration for my trailer online since it's due today
