Default This place has changed me

DH and I have gone through a HUGE attitude change in the last year. We went from less than responsible to being fairly frugal. It's been a huge change and has made life easier and more manageable. I mean, a Christmas without money stress...who knew.

But I was still bad until about 2 months ago in one big area...I would go with my mom on these huge spending sprees where she would spend a ton on us and I just said "sure." And it didn't cost me a dime...but I realized something around Thanksgiving...

I don't like it. It was stuff for the sake of having stuff. End of story. Sometimes it was stuff we needed...clothes for the boys, etc. But a lot of times it was just stuff...and I'm not that person anymore.

And I have you guys to thank for it.

What a great story about positive change. It's sounds like you have a greater understanding about yourself and your life. Well done, Mojjo!

I know what you mean. My new mottos is "Less is More". The more stuff you have, the more complicated your life is. It's great that you've undergone such a big transformation in such little time.

Wow, I know what you mean. My mom does the same thing when we go shopping. Here, you need this she says and I say no I don't but then she buys it for me anyway. Drives me crazy... I usually end up selling it on E-Bay!!
